On Saturday April 9, 2005, about 30 or more people volunteered to do some clean-up and fix-it work on the entire Dog Run. The walkways were swept, chips were put into the small dog run, the drain area was fixed, the gates were fixed and 24 tons of stone were spread in the Big Dog Run.
Below are pictures taken by DOA Program Chair Samantha Soldan. Here are pictures from before the clean-up, problems the Dog Run experienced over the 2004-2005 Winter.

All these problems were fixed with a major volunteer effort (and the purchase of almost $500 worth of more stones!): Raking and shoveling stones away from the fence and buying an additional truck load of 24 tons of new stone; fiberglass mesh being sewn to the outside of the fence to try and keep the stones in. On the Small Dog Run side (where only half the area was originally resurfaced) a truck load of wood chips was brought in to cover the dirt side.
